The little town of Yarmouth, well loved as a sailing venue, is the first place on the Island many visitors see, as they land there from the ferry.

Featuring a harbour, two sailing clubs and even its own small castle, the historic town plays host each year to the spectacular Old Gaffers Festival, which draws veteran gaff-rigged vessels from far and wide to a feast of activities and entertainment, on land as well as on the water.
